It has been a while since I've updated my blog and I think I've relied on my facebook fan page for everything. I am going to be better and posting here though. This was a fun shoot I got to be a part of with my good friend and awesome photographer Elisha. We had a great time with Troy and Nancy celebrating their engagement with fun pictures.

My friend Michael and I went out last week and played around with just shooting and having fun. He continues to work on his 365 day project and I took some pics of him while he sets up for some shots. Check out some of his shots from that night. http://www.michaelthemaven.com/
Can you find him?
He sets up for a different camera angle
Here is a similar shot to what he was going for.

What a night is has been for me. Last night I was on my was to a local photography group in which I was already running a little behind and next thing I know there is a cop behind me. I just knew I was getting pulled over for speeding. Oh crap I just thought I'm gonna be even more late. He comes up to the window and says, "Did you know your registration is expired and has been since May?" I thought to myself "MAY, that can't be right" and tell him no but he asks for license and insurance and of course the insurance card I have was an expired one. He goes to his car for what seems like forever. I knew I was getting a ticket. He comes back to the car and says "I'm just giving you a warning but this could have been a HUGE fine." Uhhh I was so relieved.
I finally show up and had a great time shooting and my good friend and I stay behind after it was over while everyone else went to Macayo's. We were on Mill and they have the light rail there and I wanted some cool shots of it so we headed over there and had a great time there until....
Mr. Officer "Security Guard" shows up and says in a firm voice like he is the SH!* that we are both in trouble for Criminal trespassing!!! You've got to be kidding me right. He is so tuff at this point! He asks us to to give him our ID and I was thinking yeah right. Like I'm gonna give this dude my license! I can be a little stubborn and my good friend Michael hands his over and the awesome Security guard proceeds to tell me that if I don't have it then he is gonna get the cops involved and they will cite me for not having it on me! Then he pulls out his little forms and I ask him if we are going to get a ticket. He of course confirms that we DEFINITELY are. I tell him that I have my ID in my car and would he like me to go get it. HAHAHAHAHA What an idiot. My ID was actually in my back pocket the whole time and I head to my car. I contemplate how I can get away. I thought I might be able to get in my car and drive off but he was pretty close to the exit so I decided to make a RUN for it! And I mean RUN lol!! I head up 2 blocks one way with camera and bag in hand and a couple blocks up the other way and make my way which took me a while to Macayo's! I walked in and PHEW I was safe!! The big group was there and I sat and finally got to relax! WOW, what a night. I was really trying to get a pic like Michael did with me in front of the train. Didn't happen lol. What's even better is reading Michael's version of what happened when I left. Like he says, moral of the story...Don't give your ID to a Security Guard!!! Check out Michael's version here. http://www.michaelthemaven.com/
